Introduction:
Harddense has one of the funniest qualities to him. Imagine a polite hipster and you have Harddense, or better described as a poser. His polite attitude and slang term speech is interesting. His nature is cute, loveable, obedient and loyal. He idolizes Swadeaqua and is protective of Demisewan. Where he lacks in intelligence he makes up for in common-sense and heart.
Harddense is considered an antagonist since Mewblade is the protagonist of all the Mewthree characters. But what I want people to really know about Harddense is that he is a good guy at heart but just in the wrong crowd.

Story History:
Harddnese was the fourth duo in a project called 10.a Intensity. His name was Subject: 004.b M2StSci 100M S meaning the fourth twin clone of the project, a Mewtwo, Steelix and Scisor hybrid with the full gender of a male and the type disposition of only Steel. Harddense's creation process was relatively easy and came with very few complications. He was made to be the Pokemon for defensive combat and defensive-related supported missions. In the end, he ended up replacing Vicebane as the primary Viridina Gym fighting Mewthree, despite his passivist, defensive nature. In turn Harddense has to be forced into battles and nearly always refuses to fight unless his dear twin Demisewan is threatened.
The relationship between Harddense and Demisewan is seemingly intimate but truth to tell, it never really is. Since they are twins (created at the same time, awake at the same time), they pose a bond that is almost inseparable. Not only that, their closeness is so tight that the twins are easily exploited. The Team Rockets find it very beneficial to harm the other so that way the rebellious one will comply.
In 'Her Beginning', Harddense was never mentioned and has no involvement in the story but he is implied to possibly exist.
The second extension of that fan fic titled, 'Death, Decisions, and Destiny' vaguely introduces Harddense but only as another Mewthree that Mewblade will have to deal with at a later time.
The third extension of the fan fic, titled 'Family Matters' formally introduces Harddense, along with Demisewan and Swadeaqua. The fan fic reflects on the value of lives and how they are lived, including the simple importance of family.
The fourth and final extension of the fan fic titled 'Where I Stand' follows Mewblade almost 10 years after her initial awakening. The world has become corrupt with humans turning on Pokemon for reasons unknown, leaving the Legendaries scrambling to restore the balance and deal with a mysterious infection. This is the final novel in the three part "Mewblade" trilogy. While all of the Mewthrees with the exception of Mewblade are deceased, their existences are reminders of the ills of the Mewthree species.

General History:
Harddense was made in June, 2001. He was created for one purpose and one purpose only, another unfortunate soul who gets stuck opposing Mewblade. He has such a floppy personality that it makes it almost fun to work with him.

Breakdown:
Personality: Harddense has a very pure and defined personality unlike the other Mewthrees. He respects his opponents and hates fighting for the sake of just fighting. In turn he only fights defensively and it is really only used to ever protect those he loves. Where all the other Mewthrees thrive off of fighting each other, Harddense thrives on defending them. But because of the constant exposure to Team Rocket, Harddense does also tend to become depressed and in turn simply gives up if he is fighting for himself. He is both exceptionally brave and noble, but also cowardly. He will put little effort into things for himself as well, and in the end Harddense really only values his life as long as he can be there for Demisewan. Without her he is a shell.
Harddense occasionally gives flack to his superiors for his persistant views of not hurting others. While he dislikes those who hurt him or his family, he is kind and understanding of them and does not have any hurtful thoughts towards them. When he is defiant or particularly jovial he tends to break his grammer to a broken ebonic way of speaking, and while he doesn't intend to annoy people with it, he usually does. This can be blamed on his lack of intelligence, though Harddense is exceptionally wise.
Lifestyle: After Mewblade left Team Rocket and Vicebane was destroyed, Harddense became the primary Mewthree fighting force at the Viridian Gym. He dislikes his trainers because of all the constant fighting they put him through, in which case his days focus around training and fighting. During his time off he is always seen with Demisewan.
Relations: Harddense has mixed relations with people, while he likes people in general he does not like those he normally interacts with as they are usually Team Rocket trainers. This carries over to Pokemon, as those he fights are either obedient, pure Pokemon of Pokemon Trainers, or the cold Pokemon of Team Rocket.
Harddense adores Demisewan as his twin and cuddles and holds her constantly. As he is the protective, defensive personality of the pair, any bonding helps instill his need and purpose of protecting and taking care of. To Swadeaqua he idolizes her, but generally treats her as the awesome older sister of sorts that he looks up to for direction. This usually comes off as painful flirting which isn't intended. Harddense knows little of Vicebane and the things he knows of Mewblade, frightens him. Unlike the other three Mewthrees; however, Harddense is the only one who truly understands Mewblade's motivations and purpose in life.
Powers: Defense is the specialty of Harddense. The thick metal hide of his can strengthen to resist extreme damage, and any damage given can be healed the same way. Since he plays defensive his stamina is very high, as well as his strength. The strength plays in his grip which is capable of severe crushing damage if desired. The relatively indestrucibility makes Harddense hard to defeat as he can take a great deal of beats. This also allows him greater resistance against Fire types, as long as the exposure is for short bursts at a time.
Flaws: As Harddense's defense is strong, it is also a bit of a weakness. Harddense is pretty slow and long term heat exposure can cause his internal organs to roast. He approaches flame with caution. Another issue with him being a Steel type is the fact that he corrodes, and this results in extra care to keep his shell clean and healthy.
Harddense's non-aggressive attitude puts him at a loss when it comes to attacking. And while he can attack, he does not and it draws out battles and potentially results in uncertain finishes. With the combined stamina and defense usually he can easily outlast his opponent, so this is rarely a problem unless against Fighting types who can cause reverberation damage which in turn causes soft tissue injury. The other issue is his "lay down and die" mentality, where when he gives up, he just does and simply does not care beyond that point. Harddense has a low self-preservation instinct and if there is no reason to live or fight, he simply won't.

Related Song(s):
-Stone Sour-Bother
-Being an abuse case, and generally a rather somber Mewthree, this song is quite complimentary to Harddense and his situation. Despite being depressing and quite dispirited, this song can reflect the hint of determination that keeps Harddense going from day to day. Out of all the songs selected, this has to be one of the most bitter to listen to.
